We currently host peer-led groups three times each week for people who use drugs (PWUD) and for those navigating mental health. If you're interested in current volunteer opportunities use our contact form or email: kimberly@hearthousewnc.org
As we work toward securing our physical Heart House location, we are building a volunteer network. People who want to contribute skills, classes, and trainings that will take place inside the house once it opens. These offerings are a pillar of our long-term vision: creating a space where people can heal, and learn.
When the house is operational, we will need volunteers willing to share:
-
Creative practices such as art, music, writing, or other expressive outlets that spark curiosity and self-worth
-
Skilled trades and practical professions that can ignite interest in meaningful, gainful careers
-
Wellness and healing modalities including yoga, tai chi, meditation, breathwork, or movement
-
Gardening, food, and land-based skills that promote grounding and responsibility
-
Life and work readiness skills, from basic job preparation to mentorship and skill-building
Our goal is not only exposure to new skills, but relationship-building—so that when someone is ready to re-engage with work or training, they already have trusted community connections and real opportunities within reach.
If you are interested in volunteering now, or in being part of the Heart House volunteer community when the physical space opens, we invite you to contact us. We appreciate your time and skills. If you're interested in future volunteer opportunities use our contact form or email: kimberly@hearthousewnc.org
